Whale viewing during season
Enjoy a scenic coastal drive along Clarence Drive and experience the majestic beauty of the Southern Right Whales basking in the warmer waters off the Hermanus coastline (during the Whale Season – July to November). An adult whale can weigh the equivalent of 11 Elephants and consumes 1,500 kg of food a day and a fully grown female can weigh up to 80 tons.
